Curatorial interpretation

A row of figures moves across a wide horizontal band; some are solid navy silhouettes, others are drawn from dense white line-work, above a narrow gold strip at the base. The mood is processional and rhythmic. Here the human figure is not described through anatomy but assembled from signs, so the body reads as a container of accumulated marks. The work can be read as a reflection on identity as something built over time, with personal and collective memory written onto a single form. In the exhibition it appears at position 06 (ROOM I), where its role is: room transition. As with all works here, the title is a curatorial working title, and details such as date, medium and dimensions await the artist's confirmation.

Read the figures left to right, like a sentence. Which ones are shadows, which ones are written?
