Curatorial interpretation
A band of dark figure silhouettes runs along the top edge; below, a broad field of pink squares on black rests above a pale lower ground. The mood is rhythmic, bright and horizon-like. Here the human figure is not described through anatomy but assembled from signs, so the body reads as a container of accumulated marks. The work can be read as a reflection on identity as something built over time, with personal and collective memory written onto a single form. In the exhibition it appears at position 25 (ROOM V), where its role is: medium solo. As with all works here, the title is a curatorial working title, and details such as date, medium and dimensions await the artist's confirmation.
Look slowly
Start with the figures at the top, then let the pink field slowly pull your eye downward.
