Curatorial interpretation

A night village: vessel and house forms in saturated colour line up across the middle band, under a black sky scattered with coloured squares and a small blue circle. The mood is nocturnal, festive and inhabited. Architecture is reduced to repeatable units such as roofs, doors, windows and facades, so the painting behaves like a map as much as a view. It invites a reading of community as rhythm: many small dwellings forming one shared place. In the exhibition it appears at position 07 (ROOM II), where its role is: large solo. As with all works here, the title is a curatorial working title, and details such as date, medium and dimensions await the artist's confirmation.
