Curatorial interpretation

A grey field of rectangular building fragments, windows, stripes and a temple-like pediment with columns; small accents of red, yellow and blue punctuate the grid. The mood is ordered, architectural and calm. Architecture is reduced to repeatable units such as roofs, doors, windows and facades, so the painting behaves like a map as much as a view. It invites a reading of community as rhythm: many small dwellings forming one shared place. In the exhibition it appears at position 08 (ROOM II), where its role is: three-work sequence (1/3). As with all works here, the title is a curatorial working title, and details such as date, medium and dimensions await the artist's confirmation.
