Curatorial interpretation

A row of simple orange house shapes runs along the lower edge beneath a dark grey sky filled with falling orange squares; small green trees frame both sides. The mood is quiet, dusk-like and tender. Architecture is reduced to repeatable units such as roofs, doors, windows and facades, so the painting behaves like a map as much as a view. It invites a reading of community as rhythm: many small dwellings forming one shared place. In the exhibition it appears at position 11 (ROOM II), where its role is: quiet/breathing artwork. As with all works here, the title is a curatorial working title, and details such as date, medium and dimensions await the artist's confirmation.
