Curatorial interpretation

A seated, meditative figure built from brown and cream mosaic sits on the horizon between a blue sky scattered with pale squares and a brown ground. The mood is quiet, grounded and meditative. Here the human figure is not described through anatomy but assembled from signs, so the body reads as a container of accumulated marks. The work can be read as a reflection on identity as something built over time, with personal and collective memory written onto a single form. In the exhibition it appears at position 04 (ROOM I), where its role is: pair right. As with all works here, the title is a curatorial working title, and details such as date, medium and dimensions await the artist's confirmation.
