Curatorial interpretation

Hundreds of small house outlines in black on white stack from bottom to top, with sparse accents of colour. The mood is dense, graphic and hillside-like. Architecture is reduced to repeatable units such as roofs, doors, windows and facades, so the painting behaves like a map as much as a view. It invites a reading of community as rhythm: many small dwellings forming one shared place. Outside the main exhibition route, it belongs to the Explore All 60 Works collection and is best seen alongside its related works in the Cities Of Signs group. As with all works here, the title is a curatorial working title, and details such as date, medium and dimensions await the artist's confirmation.
