Curatorial interpretation

An architectural collage in black, white and red: facades, doorways, stairs and patterned panels stacked across the canvas. The mood is graphic, lively and constructed. Architecture is reduced to repeatable units such as roofs, doors, windows and facades, so the painting behaves like a map as much as a view. It invites a reading of community as rhythm: many small dwellings forming one shared place. In the exhibition it appears at position 09 (ROOM II), where its role is: three-work sequence (2/3). As with all works here, the title is a curatorial working title, and details such as date, medium and dimensions await the artist's confirmation.
