Curatorial interpretation
A faint central presence, read in the catalog as a face, emerges from a dense field of small black-and-white squares. The mood is elusive, optical and quiet. Here the human figure is not described through anatomy but assembled from signs, so the body reads as a container of accumulated marks. The work can be read as a reflection on identity as something built over time, with personal and collective memory written onto a single form. Outside the main exhibition route, it belongs to the Explore All 60 Works collection and is best seen alongside its related works in the Body As Archive group. As with all works here, the title is a curatorial working title, and details such as date, medium and dimensions await the artist's confirmation.
