Curatorial interpretation
A single head-and-shoulders silhouette, drawn in black line and filled with small boxed signs, stands frontally against a checkerboard of yellow, crimson, lavender, navy and white squares. The mood is frontal, iconic and quietly charged. Here the human figure is not described through anatomy but assembled from signs, so the body reads as a container of accumulated marks. The work can be read as a reflection on identity as something built over time, with personal and collective memory written onto a single form. In the exhibition it appears at position 02 (ROOM I), where its role is: large solo. As with all works here, the title is a curatorial working title, and details such as date, medium and dimensions await the artist's confirmation.
